Artist Support Pledge
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many artists around the world have found themselves without work, teaching, technical support, gallery work, exhibitions and sales have disappeared. In an attempt to help alleviate some of this stress @matthewburrowsstudio has instigated the #artistsupportpledge
The concept is a simple one. Artists post images of their work to sell for no more than $200 (£200, €200, ¥20000, CHF200) each (not including shipping.) Anyone can then buy the work. Every time you reach $1000 of sales you pledge to buy another artist's work for $200.
CVP - Creative Visionary Program
In February this year I broke my shoulder and was a bit miserable. As a pick-me-up I "gave" myself the gift of a major art course, CVP - The Creative Visionary Program. My timing could not have been better - I got to have an intensive painting course during Corona time. And I've learned so much. Thank you Nicolas Wilton and the CVP team!

Open House Exhibition 27 & 28 January 2017
This event was a success with over 35 wonderful, interested visitors spread over a day-and-a-half. The fantastic weather probably kept a few away but on the other hand, filled the house with light. At least 20 pieces sold and I got my first commission. This sounds a lot but a lot of works were on show representing 4 years of artistic development.
The feedback from the visitors was very positive: compliments about the quality, quantity, variety, and professionalism of the show. Many felt the pictures fitted the surroundings so well, it was a shame to split them up.
This is the first time I have exhibited and I found it a very positive experience. It took a lot of work hanging the paintings, putting together the price list, mailing invitations e.t.c. but I learned a lot and found it a valuable experience.
A big thank you to all for the encouragement, support and generosity.
